Not as much as I would have guessed. The old 8 series was between 4,090–4,354 lbs according to the wiki. The new one is 4,478lbs so it’s not a huge difference, at the top end anyways.

If (or when) they start selling it with the B58 as an 840i, I think the comparison to the E53 coupe is going to be inevitable.
